frosting is a life skill
Decorating classes & events
Cookie- and cake-decorating classes right in the bakery — seasonal themes, all skill levels, all ages welcome. Every ticket includes your materials, step-by-step guidance, a box to carry your masterpiece home, a special treat, and half off a dirty soda while you work.
Each decorator needs their own ticket; under-16s bring a ticketed adult. Private classes available for parties and groups — and local businesses can host a Cake Loft pop-up.
since 2017
Built from scratch
Chrissy Zemencik started Cake Loft in 2017, straight out of high school, baking in her mom's kitchen. For seven years it grew the old way — custom orders, pop-ups, and word of mouth — while she stacked up a culinary-arts education, a pastry certificate, a hospitality degree and, eventually, an MBA.
In January 2025 the ovens finally got their own address: a bright little storefront on Black Bob Road, with a sprinkle wall, a case that changes weekly, and classes where anyone can learn to pipe. Some things didn't change — everything is still made from scratch, and the person taking your custom order is still the person baking it.
